As nursing students, you feel called to help your community. Here is your chance to help make a difference in your community and put your nursing skills to use. Advocate Aurora is creating a temporary staffing pool to accommodate the needs of our health system during this unique time of need. We are looking for nursing students to support our COVID vaccination process. This will include the following responsibilities:
- Checking patients into the electronic system
- Observing vaccination injections
- Giving vaccinations under the watchful eye of an RN
This is a temporary assignment through April-2021 and are looking for a minimum of 20 hours per week of commitment. This is a Monday-Sunday operation between 7am-8pm (subject to change).
Scheduled HoursMonday-Friday, variable hours between 7am-6pm.
Saturday & Sunday, between 7am-1pm.
Licenses & Certifications
None Required.
Degrees
Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing Assistant.
Required Functional Experience
No experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Current enrollment (in final year) or graduate of an accredited nursing program.Successful completion of a Medical Surgical Course that includes pharmacological concepts.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to interruptions and changing priorities/workload necessary.
